Christmas miracle

Dad was diagnosed with cancer in April 2012, with stage 4 involvement. Chemo would only buy time.
As Christmas drew near we knew it would be the last we'd have with him.He was failing fast. Dad had always refused to say what he wanted for presents. His usual response when asked was 'buy something for Mom' or spend the money on ourselves. It came as a complete shock when a week or two before Christmas Day when he asked for an extremely specific present.
He said he'd been dreaming of a little grey kitten that would be soft pawed, stay on the bed with him and sleep on his chest. He was very specific about the age, color, temperment. He wanted a baby, about 6 weeks old. As much as we were elated know something he really wanted we also were a bit panicked. How do you find such a kit and make sure it's everything he wanted? All the family searched but couldn't find such a kit. As Christmas came closer the family despaired.... the only thing Dad had ever asked for and we couldn't give it to him!
On December 23 my daughter called me nearly screaming. She'd seen a kitten available on Craigslist. The picture strongly convicted her that this was The One. She brought it to Dad on Christmas Eve with a bow around it's collar. The kit took one look at Dad, immediately wriggled free to jump to Dad. It gave Dad a couple head butts and curled up under Dad's chin to sleep. Pepper very rarely left Dad's bed after that. He was the most gentle thing I'd ever seen. Pepper was EVERYTHING Dad had wished for. Truly a Christmas miracle.
We lost Dad mid January. Pepper attached himself to Mom. He was incredible comfort to her.
Mom still has him 2 yrs later.. once just a few ounces, he is now 17 lbs and remains devoted to Mom.He's the Anti-Maru. He destroys boxes, kills papertowels.
What are the odds of finding such a perfect fit to Dad's request?
I can say miraculous.
