After having Minature Schnauzers since 1972, Megan was our first Schnauzer rescue in 2002. She was 6 years old, diabetic, almost blind, misunderstood and unwanted. I was only going to help by fostering her but totally fell in love. She ruled like a lady and in spite of her many medical problems, she was a trooper like no other. She lost her battle August 25, 2008. Megan gave us such total trust and love, and taught us what it means to adopt a older dog. The enrichment our lives is indescribable.
We also adopted more Minature Schnauzers: Sandy (now 10yrs old) in 2003, Sebastion ( ow 8 yrs old) in 2005, Gus (now 8 years old) in 2006 and our lastest Muffy ( she's three) in 2009.
I still find it hard to talk about her and it is to her memory and through my tears I encourage everyone wanting to add a companion to their lives, please give a forever home to one of the many rescue animals that need your help, understanding and love.
